What do I need to do to receive job opportunities from Corona Help Forum?
You need to apply to one of our open positions. We continuously receive job offers from cruise lines around the world and share them with our candidate pool. To be part of the candidate pool, you need to apply to one of our open roles.

What benefits do I get while on board?
This will differ from ship to ship, but you can expect to get full crew level benefits. This includes an own cabin, access to gym, free food at the restaurant and more.

What expenses does MHG cover for me?
We cover all travel to and from your job location. If your current medical liability insurance does not cover the work on the cruise ship, we also pay that extra expense for you.

How many trips per month do you do?
We expect to have a few new trips every month, sometimes more. There is no fixed schedule but the frequency is high.

How many passengers will there be on board?
Expect approximately 800 – 1000. The boats are operating below full capacity due to COVID-19.

What types of passengers will be on the ship?
It’s mostly locals from the country of departure.

Do I need to get into quarantine before or after the trip?
This depends on the country where you start and end your trip. In most cases, no quarantine is necessary. We will let you know about this for each individual trip. If quarantine is necessary, you will receive your full salary from us in that time.

What health checks are necessary before the trip?
This depends on the cruise line. Usually, it is sufficient to fill out a health questionnaire. You usually also have to do a PCR test at the port on the day of embarkation (free of charge to you).

Can I bring my partner on board for free?
You can bring your partner on board, but you would need to pay for his stay on board yourself.

What type of contract do I sign and how do I get paid?
You sign a contractor agreement with us. After your work on the ship, you send us an invoice and we will pay it out.

Who will be my colleagues on the trip?
You will be accompanied by a team of doctors and nurses. There will always be sufficient team members to ensure that you can properly do your job.

What will be the exact stops of my trip?
The exact trip details and possible disembarkation dates along the route are often not 100% fixed until shortly before the start and will be made known before embarkation.

Is an extension of my work possible?
Yes. In most cases, an extension is possible if it is desired by the cruise line and the employee. However, we can't guarantee that in every case.
FAQ - For Doctors

What will be my activities as a doctor on board?
You will provide a broad range of general medical care for passengers with support from other doctors and medical assistants. You are not expected to do operations but emergency assistance may be required.
The local medical center will include a pharmacy, extensive lab equipment and a broad range of medical devices.

What will be my working hours as a doctor?
This depends on the ship. You will usually work max. 40 hours per week with 8-hour shifts. You will also usually have 1-2 days per week of emergency duty at night.

Will there be a helicopter on board for emergencies?
No. But the ship will usually not cruise too far from the shore so that contact the the shore should be possible soon in case of emergencies.
FAQ - For Nurses & Swabbers

What will be my activities as a nurse or swabber?
As a nurse, you will focus on general medical support of the doctors on board as well as COVID testing. As a swabber, you will only do COVID testing.

You will work max. 40 hours per week. You will usually have 8-hour shifts and no night shifts. This will be confirmed before the start of the trip.
